b'Bands Look Backour videos are kind of raw, and maybe that was part of our charm. It probably was. Not very pretentious, not overblown, not a lot of excess. And even Head Over Heels, the production value was better, but it still was kind of cheesy. And then we did a video for Get Up and Go, Pretending to waterskiand it was super cheesy. When we have Mary Lambert, you know, an was fun, especiallyactual director who had done actual Madonna videos and costumes and because we got prettyus being men and also being women, it was really exciting because it plastered while we werefelt like finally were going to do something thats got production sitting around waiting value. That was our biggest production. It was a lot of fun making that. But all videos are exhausting. Nobody really enjoys it. You enjoy afterwards and you enjoy aspects, but its long and grueling. I mean, Kathy Valen t ine theyre done in a day and sometimes its like an 18, 20 hour day. And people in the movies are used to that stuff. But musicians arent, you know, we used to put our energy out of t he GoGos in a couple hours and then go party or go back to your room. Speaking of that, the video for Vacation just looks grueling. Im watching and thinking, those poor T heres a moment in theHead Over Heels ladies are having to pretend like Head Over Heels videotheyre waterskiing and I bet theyre where youre apparentlylike, I would rather be anywhere but on an airport runwayhere somewhere. Theres justNo, that was the fun part! I kept one shot of you playing, and Ginathinking it was like, you know, like sticks her head in there a littleL to R: Three GoGosan Elvis Presley movie or something, bit, that youre obviously outsideand Rob Lowe, whoknowing it was going to be somewhere. We never see it beforeappeared in theprojections. And that was so kitschy. that moment and we never see itTurn to You video I mean, we had a certain kitsch to us. before. What was that about?Thats why we posed as water skiers Well, the video director did ato begin with with the tutus and storyboard, and I think everybodyso it was his idea, and they slowedthe tiaras. Like on the first record had, like a little cameo things in it.it down, because we had to wait toalbum cover with the facemask I think they were very much tryingcapture a jet landing. It was all theand the towels and stuff. We didnt to make it equal, or each GoGovideo directors vision. And Im justmind being kitschy at all. Its just go where nobody felt like theylike, yeah, this is my cameo. And Gina, the hurry up and wait aspects, you would not get their little time onshes always got to stick her head inknow. Pretending to waterski was screen. So you see the facesmy moment. Miss Thing! (laughs)fun, especially because we got pretty popping up different times andI imagine that the set for Turn toplastered while we were sitting people get their little moments. You with guest starts like Rob Lowe, around waiting. So in the storyboard it said, and Iwere like the kind of edgier bands on remember at the time thinking, OK,MTV when we were up and coming but he said, yeah, youre going tohad super slick videos!
