In the course of directing the new Sound City documentary, Dave Grohl met a lot of rockers, many of whom he recruited for the film’s soundtrack. None seemed more of a far cry from Grohl’s wheelhouse than GOLDEN AGE OF MUSIC VIDEO favorite Rick Springfield, who reminisced about recording at Sound City in the film.
At the film’s Sundance Festival party, Grohl hosted an all-star concert with special guests, and if there was any doubt of Grohl’s love for the “Jessie’s Girl” rocker, that doubt is laid to rest.
