The Safety Dance Is Alive And Well At Medieval Festival
Of all the medieval-themed music videos, the clip for Men Without Hats’ “The Safety Dance” stands out as the King Arthur of this genre. We traveled to the Annual Medieval Festival in New York’s Fort Tryon Park for celebration of all thingsthat get medieval on your ass (we had to, sorry), including jousting competitions, musical performances, and classic weapons vendors. We actually got a few volunteers to break out the Safety Dance in tribute to one of the Golden Age of Music Video’s strangest phenomena.
