Kim “Kids In America” Wilde and Nik “Wouldn’t It Be Good” Kershaw Rock Around The Christmas Tree In New Video
In the 1980s, two British pop stars with very different styles scored hits on the U.S. charts: Kim Wilde and Nik Kershaw.
The pouty-faced Wilde scored twice, once with the anthemic “Kids In America” and later with a remake of the Supremes’ “You Keep Me Hanging On”. New waver Kershaw hit it big with “Wouldn’t It Be Good”, which also received exposure in the film Pretty In Pink (though the soundtrack had a version by Danny Hutton and the Hitters).
More recently, the two have teamed up for a version of “Rocking Around The Christmas Tree”, shot in Epping Ongar Railway in South-West Essex, England, with North Weald Station used to house production facilities.
Check out these two legacy artists belting out an classic holiday tune. And Happy Holidays!
